Sponsor Booth Traffic

Give a sponsor a visible feature at their stand, with a planned handover to their team.

Why conferences book a humanoid robot

Most conferences now have at least one session on artificial intelligence, automation or the future of work. Delegates have seen the slides, the charts and the product demos on screen. A humanoid robot standing on the same stage as your speaker is different: people can judge its size, movement and presence for themselves.

At OpenSummit.AI in Sydney Town Hall, Rocco appeared on stage beside the presenter in front of around 1,200 attendees, including CEOs and founders. The event photograph shows what organisers want from a stage moment: phones raised across the room, capturing something delegates will share with their networks after the event.

Rocco is a Unitree G1 humanoid robot, about 1.3 metres tall. He is the future of AI made physical, which makes him a natural fit for technology, innovation, cyber security, finance and leadership conferences.

Where a robot fits in your conference program

A robot works best in defined windows rather than wandering all day. Choose the moments that matter most to your delegates and sponsors, then build the appearance around them.

  1. Registration and arrivals: greetings and photos as delegates collect lanyards, setting the tone for the day.
  2. Opening session: a stage walk-on with an agreed welcome line before your MC or first speaker takes over.
  3. AI or innovation keynote: a planned reveal at the point in the talk where the speaker moves from ideas to real-world examples.
  4. Morning tea, lunch and networking breaks: focused interaction periods when delegates are free to approach and take photos.
  5. Exhibition hall or sponsor booth: scheduled time at a partner's stand to lift foot traffic, with their team ready for the next conversation.

Rest and charging windows, operator coverage and movement between rooms are planned before the day. Send your draft program and the team will suggest a realistic schedule.

For sponsors and exhibitors

A sponsor package that includes a robot appearance gives the partner something visible beyond a logo on a lanyard. At a FraudX event in Melbourne, Rocco wore a FraudX-branded shirt, greeted attendees and spun a prize wheel, showing how branding and a simple activity can work together on an event floor.

Decide who handles the follow-up before the event. Rocco draws people in; the sponsor's staff, a QR-code prompt or a competition entry turns that attention into a conversation. For exhibition-floor planning, see robot hire for trade shows and expos.

An honest note on “AI robots”

Rocco is operator-controlled. A trained operator is behind every movement and line, delivering agreed greetings and scripted messages at the right moment. He does not hold free-form AI conversations with delegates, so your speakers stay in control of the message.

For most conferences, that is an advantage. Your producer knows exactly what will happen at each cue, the robot moves safely through the crowd, and any technical questions from delegates become a conversation about how humanoid robots really work today.

Plan your conference robot appearance

  • Send the conference dates, venue, expected delegate numbers and the program, marking the sessions or breaks where you want Rocco to appear.
  • Share stage plans, AV cues and how Rocco will reach the stage. Confirm loading access, a clear operating area and a venue or production contact.
  • Agree the greeting, speaker introductions or sponsor lines in advance, including name pronunciations and who approves the final script.

Rocco is a Unitree G1 humanoid robot supplied with a trained operator. We are based in Sydney, with appearances including Channel 10 and FraudX in Melbourne. Interstate dates, travel and venue suitability are confirmed during planning.

Before you book

Can Rocco appear on stage during a keynote?

Yes, a planned walk-on, wave or reveal can be scoped with your producer. Share the stage plan, how Rocco will reach the stage (ramp, lift or level access), the AV cues and any rehearsal time. Stage access is assessed for each venue.

Does Rocco hold a live AI conversation with delegates?

No. Rocco is operator-controlled, with a trained person behind every movement. The operator can deliver agreed greetings and scripted lines, and your speakers or team handle open questions. That keeps the moment reliable on a busy conference floor.

Can a sponsor brand Rocco's conference appearance?

Discuss sponsor options such as a branded shirt, the sponsor or event name in an agreed greeting, or scheduled time at the sponsor's booth. Share brand guidelines and who approves the script early so details can be confirmed before the event.
