On Friday 28 August 2026, around 600 business leaders gathered at Royal Randwick in Sydney for EOS Conference APAC, run with EOS Worldwide. AI transformation company appliers.ai, the licensed global AI transformation partner of EOS Worldwide, needed its booth to stand out on a busy conference floor. Its team brought Rocco to the stand, and in its own words he became "a crowd favourite".
The Brief: An AI Company Needed Its Booth to Show AI
EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System, is a framework many growing businesses use to run their teams. The APAC conference brought business owners and EOS implementers together for a day of sessions and networking.
appliers.ai helps EOS-run businesses work out where to start with AI and automation. In its post about the day, the team noted that AI adoption sits on nearly every client's issues list but often stalls because teams don't know where to start. That was the conversation it wanted to have at its booth.
A humanoid robot fits that message. Rocco makes "AI" physical: something attendees can walk up to, photograph and ask about. That gives the booth team an easy opening to talk about what AI can actually do for a business.
What Happened
- Rocco drew people to the stand. appliers.ai called him "a crowd favourite" and named him in its thank-yous alongside the main-stage speaker.
- The booth told a clear story. An AI transformation company with a humanoid robot on its stand made its focus obvious from across the room.
- The content kept working after the event. appliers.ai's LinkedIn post about the day included a carousel of photos from the conference floor.
Why Robots Work at Conference Booths
Conference floors are competitive. Every exhibitor wants foot traffic, and most booths look much the same: a backdrop, a screen and a bowl of lollies. A humanoid robot breaks that pattern.
- Foot traffic. People walk over to see a robot without needing a reason, which gives your team more conversations.
- An easy opening line. "What does the robot do?" is a much easier start than a cold pitch.
- Shareable photos. Attendees take photos at your stand, and your branding goes with them.
- It fits tech and AI brands. For AI, software and innovation companies, the robot reinforces the message instead of distracting from it.
Planning a Robot for Your Exhibition Stand
- Agree the stand layout so Rocco has clear space to move and greet people without blocking your team.
- Decide the handover. Your staff should be ready to pick up the conversation once someone stops to see the robot.
- Brand the moment. Rocco can wear your company shirt or event branding, as he did for Roche and FraudX.
- Check venue access for loading and bump-in. Our venue checklist covers the details.
