On 26 August 2026, Helia, the Australian lenders mortgage insurer, ran an AI Boot Camp at its North Sydney office: a day of AI training and workshops for its people. The program was framed around "AI Meets the Future of Insurance". At the close of the day, as staff moved into drinks, Rocco arrived wearing Helia branding.

The Brief: End an AI Training Day on a High
A full day of AI training is a lot of information. Helia wanted the boot camp to finish with something people would talk about. It also had to connect back to the day's subject: AI moving out of slides and into the real world.
A branded humanoid robot did both. The plan was a short, high-energy activation during the drinks reception: Rocco would arrive, greet staff, pose for team photos and mingle with people, with Helia's logo on his chest throughout.
What Happened
When Rocco walked into the office, staff crowded round and pulled out their phones. The short clip below shows the moment: Rocco moving through the floor while a wall of Helia staff film him.
Rocco arrives at the Helia AI Boot Camp drinks. Silent five-second clip.
Rocco then spent the reception among staff, with the operator managing his movement around tables and guests. Team members stopped for photos with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the windows behind.

What Helia Said
Strachan T. left RobotForHire a five-star Google review after the boot camp:
We had Rocky from Robot for Hire join us at the end of our AI boot camp to greet participants, walk around and pose for photos. A great way to wrap up the day
Why It Worked
- It tied back to the training. After a day learning about AI, staff saw a physical example of where the technology is heading.
- It was on brand. The Helia logo on Rocco's chest meant every photo and video staff shared carried the company's name.
- It suited the office. Rocco doesn't need a ballroom. He worked an office floor with standing tables, chairs and a busy drinks reception.
- It was short and sharp. A focused activation at the end of the day gave the boot camp a memorable finish without taking time from the training.
Planning a Robot for Training Days and Office Events
- Time it for the energy dip. The end of a training day or the start of drinks is when a surprise works best.
- Brand it. Send your logo or branded clothing in advance.
- Check the office route. Confirm the lift, floor access and a clear path between desks and tables.
- Plan the photo spot. A window view or branded wall makes team photos far more shareable.
